Basketball Recap: Suburban Christian's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

Suburban Christian lost against Indiana Christian Academy two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Suburban Christian Crusaders took a 55-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indiana Christian Academy Whirlwinds. While losing is never fun, the Crusaders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 228th, while the Whirlwinds are ranked 112th).

Indiana Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Seth Plew, who shot 43% from the field to rack up 23 points. That's the most points Plew has posted since back in November of 2024. Sawyer Tipton was another key player, putting up 15 points and eight rebounds.

With the defeat, Suburban Christian broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-7. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 28.5 points. As for Indiana Christian Academy, the victory was the 34th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 36-1.

As of now, neither Suburban Christian nor Indiana Christian Academy have any future games scheduled.
