Baseball Game Preview: East Rankin Academy Patriots vs. Simpson Academy Cougars

East Rankin Academy will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Simpson Academy, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Patriots came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cougars on Thursday, sneaking past 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Patriots have posted since March 11th.

East Rankin Academy saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Porter, who went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

East Rankin Academy pushed their record up to 10-7 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.
