Basketball Recap: Faith Christian Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Faith Christian had lost eight straight headed into Monday's matchup, but NOAH MAYO didn't let it get to nine. The Faith Christian Patriots enjoyed a cozy 56-38 win over the Kerr-Vance Academy Spartans on Monday thanks in part to MAYO, who posted 22 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Faith Christian's points.

Despite the defeat, Kerr-Vance Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lj Siplen had 11 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Rakia Terry, who earned eight points.

Faith Christian's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-11. As for Kerr-Vance Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 14 of their last 15 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-18 record this season.

Faith Christian has already played their next contest, a 72-29 loss against Harrells Christian Academy on the 28th. As for Kerr-Vance Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, an 88-49 defeat against Oak Forest on the 28th.
