Preview: Terrell County Greenwave vs. Seminole County Indians

Terrell County and Seminole County are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2017, but not for long. The Terrell County Greenwave will head out on the road to face off against the Seminole County Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Terrell County came tearing into Saturday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down Stewart County 58-39. Given Terrell County's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while Stewart County is ranked 340th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Terrell County's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Tadreuna Rogers, who scored 15 points, and Jentaiya Rushing, who scored 19 points. The game was Rogers' third in a row with at least ten points. Ciara Harvey was another key contributor, scoring 5 points.

Seminole County has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 32 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Quitman County 59-24 at home. With Seminole County ahead 51-10 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Seminole County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Equeasha Daniels, who scored 14 points along with 7 rebounds and 7 steals. Daniels is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Zyi'Kiera King, who scored 18 points along with 4 steals.

Terrell County has yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 5-1 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Seminole County, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Terrell County hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 57.2 points per game. It's a different story for Seminole County, though, as they've been averaging only 55 per game. The only thing between Terrell County and another offensive beatdown is Seminole County.
