Vidor and Lumberton are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long. The Pirates will host the Raiders at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Vidor's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on West Orange-Stark with a sharp 13-0 win. That 13-run margin sets a new team best for the Pirates this season.

Lumberton never got on the board in their matchup on Thursday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against West Orange-Stark on Tuesday. They blew past the Mustangs 12-3. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Raiders' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Vidor is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Lumberton, their win bumped their record up to 7-15-1.

Vidor was able to grind out a solid victory over Lumberton in their previous matchup back in March, winning 10-7. Do the Pirates have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
