Basketball Recap: Fountain Inn Takes a Loss

Fountain Inn saw some tournament action on Friday. They fell to the Eastside Eagles 53-49. The Fury have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Fountain Inn lost, don't look at Terry Cunningham. Despite the final result, he posted 18 points. Another player making a difference was EJ Lundy, who put up ten points.

Thomas Rouse continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Eastside, going 7 of 12 on his way to 18 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. Those eight boards gave Rouse a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Walt Predmore, who had nine points.

Fountain Inn's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Eastside, they moved to 3-9 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Fountain Inn didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 58-47 win against Southside on the 28th. Eastside has also already played their next contest, a 68-63 victory against A.C. Flora on the 28th.
