Football Recap: Geneva Takes a Loss

Geneva might've scored the first points on Friday, but it was Wheaton North who claimed the real prize. The Vikings and the Falcons were almost perfectly matched up, but the Vikings suffered a 21-20 defeat. The Vikings' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Geneva lost, don't look at Ben Peterson. Despite the final result, he threw for 117 yards and a pair of TDs, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground.

Geneva's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Wheaton North, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 3-5 record.
