Recap: Colleyville Heritage Panthers vs. Midlothian Heritage Jaguars
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Colleyville Heritage Panthers walked away with it. They enjoyed a cozy 52-33 win over the Jaguars on Monday.
Leading Colleyville Heritage to victory were Journee Hampton and Samari Stevenson. Hampton scored 18 points along with two steals, while Stevenson almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Hampton has scored at least a third of Colleyville Heritage's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Suliane Davis, who scored six points along with nine rebounds.
Midlothian Heritage's loss came despite strong showings from Ivy Preusser and Bri Finch. Preusser scored seven points, while Finch scored seven points.
Colleyville Heritage has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-10 record this season. As for Midlothian Heritage, their loss dropped their record down to 25-11.
Colleyville Heritage will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Brewer at 6:30 p.m. on February 15th. One thing working in Brewer's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last ten matches. Midlothian Heritage does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
