Recap: Fullerton Indians vs. La Habra Highlanders

The Fullerton Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 65-42 walloping at the hands of La Habra. While losing is never fun, Fullerton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 590th, while the Highlanders are ranked 48th).

Fullerton lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Saint Martinez, who scored five points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jeremy Guillen, who scored six points.

Fullerton dropped their record down to 10-17 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for La Habra, the win was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-4.

Fullerton will head out on the road to challenge the Coyotes at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Buena Park has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 5. As for La Habra, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on February 1st. One thing working in Sonora's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups.
