Volleyball Recap: George Washington Triumphs

George Washington won the last time they faced Montbello and things went their way on Thursday too. The Patriots walked away with a 3-1 win over the Warriors. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brittany DelRio, who had 15 assists and two aces. DelRio is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Yaretzi Barraza, who had 11 kills and eight blocks.

The victory got George Washington back to even at 9-9. As for Montbello, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

George Washington has already played their next contest (against Lincoln), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Montbello, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 win against DMLK on the 14th.
