Basketball Recap: North Putnam Takes a Loss

North Putnam was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 85-30 loss at the hands of the Clay City Eels. The match marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

North Putnam's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Clay City, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

North Putnam will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on West Vigo at 8:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025. As for Clay City, they will be playing at home against South Putnam at 7:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025. One thing working in Clay City's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.
