Baseball Recap: Suwannee Takes a Loss

Suwannee fell victim to Lowndes and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

Kase Nickerson was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances.

Suwannee now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Lowndes, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Suwannee will challenge Maclay at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 3.7, the Marauders 3) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Lowndes, they will take on Lee County at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season.
