Baseball Game Preview: Yorktown Wildcats vs. Skidmore-Tynan Bobcats

Yorktown is 0-4 against Skidmore-Tynan since March of 2023 but things could change on Tuesday. The Wildcats will challenge the Bobcats at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Yorktown is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game on Thursday. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kenedy.

Yorktown saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aaron Guzman, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI. Ezekiel Munoz also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Skidmore-Tynan was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 12-1 to Port Aransas.

Skidmore-Tynan's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Yorktown, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.

Yorktown might still be hurting after the 14-1 defeat they got from Skidmore-Tynan when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
