Basketball Recap: Wasatch Academy Takes a Loss

Wasatch Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell 29-16 to the Merit Preparatory Academy Knights. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-27 last Wednesday.

Merit Preparatory Academy was led to victory by Ayla Coltharp and Kya Snyder. Coltharp posted 15 points and four steals, while Snyder dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 boards.

Wasatch Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Merit Preparatory Academy, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-7.

Wasatch Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-9 defeat against Waterford on the 30th. As for Merit Preparatory Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 55-35 loss against Rockwell on the 31st.
