Basketball Recap: St. Francis Comes Up Short

St. Francis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost to the Evart Wildcats on the road by a 49-30 margin. While losing is never fun, the Gladiators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 472nd, while the Wildcats are ranked 62nd).

St. Francis' loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Evart, they pushed their record up to 16-2 with the win, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Francis will host Kingsley at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Evart, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Wildcats take on the Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on February 21st.
