Preview: Leadore Mustangs vs. Taylor's Crossing Eagles
Leadore has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Taylor's Crossing Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, Leadore was fully in charge, breezing past Non Varsity Opponent 50-12 at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Leadore has managed all season.
Meanwhile, Taylor's Crossing scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 55-10 win over Alturas Prep. With Taylor's Crossing ahead 37-4 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Leadore is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Taylor's Crossing, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-4.
Everything came up roses for Leadore against Taylor's Crossing in their previous matchup on December 1st as the team secured a 50-14 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Leadore since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
