Baseball Game Preview: Glendora Tartans vs. Walnut Mustangs

The Glendora Tartans will take on the Walnut Mustangs at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Glendora's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Walnut's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Glendora will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Bonita, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Tartans came out on top against the Bearcats by a score of 5-1 on Monday.

John Seader was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three runs. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Glaze, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Walnut entered their tilt with Diamond Bar on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Brahmas.

Glendora's victory bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Walnut, their win bumped their record up to 8-13.

Glendora came out on top in a nail-biter against Walnut in their previous matchup back in March of 2015, sneaking past 7-6. Do the Tartans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
