Meanwhile, West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell just short of Wiseburn- Da Vinci by a score of 3-2.
West started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 15-25, 25-13, 25-20, 16-14.
South is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which lines up perfectly with their 24-8 record this season. As for West, their loss dropped their record down to 7-14.
