Mammoth defensive tackle has plenty of suitors.

Matt Elam is more than just an utterly mammoth high school senior.

The 6-foot-6, 350-pound defensive tackle from John Hardin (Elizabethtown, Ky.) is one of the most intimidating players in high school football.

Elam's highlight tape is the type of thing that gives opposing offenses nightmares.

He doesn't just make plays — he imposes his will, tossing around ball carriers like they were rag dolls and using quickness and strength to bowl over offensive linemen that he, at times, outweighs by over 100 pounds.

Alabama, Notre Dame and Kentucky are in hot pursuit of the No. 7 recruit in the Top247.

Elam's Crystal Ball is trending in favor of the Crimson Tide, where he'd likely become the latest mountainous defensive tackle to star under head coach Nick Saban.

On Friday night, Elam and John Hardin took the field in a Class 5A playoff matchup against Bullitt Central, which John Hardin won 41-13.
