Volleyball Recap: Alexandria Starts off Right with Win over Sartell-St. Stephen

Alexandria had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Sartell-St. Stephen Sabres. Winning may never get old, but the Cardinals sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row dating back to last season.

Alexandria was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (115-114), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 28-26, 22-25, 25-21, 20-18.

Coming up, Alexandria will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Brainerd at 7:00 p.m. As for Sartell-St. Stephen, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Moorhead at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
