Basketball Game Preview: Wall Eagles vs. Belle Fourche Broncs

Having just played yesterday, the Wall Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Belle Fourche Broncs at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Wall knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 15 matches -- so hopefully Belle Fourche likes a good challenge.

Wall is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past Philip to the tune of 93-62 on Thursday. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 45th, while the Scotties are ranked 131st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Belle Fourche was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 64-47 to Kadoka. The Broncs were down 50-30 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Wall is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.4 points over those games. Belle Fourche's loss dropped their record down to 3-13.

Everything came up roses for Wall against Belle Fourche in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as the team secured an 80-45 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wall since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
