Football Game Preview: Hardin-Jefferson Hawks vs. Lumberton Raiders

The Hardin-Jefferson Hawks will venture away from home to take on the Lumberton Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Hardin-Jefferson has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Lumberton will arrive with three straight victories.

Hardin-Jefferson is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Hargrave on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Hawks were dealt a 56-20 defeat at the hands of the Falcons. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Hawks have suffered since November 1, 2024.

Meanwhile, Lumberton didn't have too much trouble with Vidor on Friday as they won 42-28.

Lumberton now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Hardin-Jefferson, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Hardin-Jefferson couldn't quite get it done against Lumberton in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 as they fell 24-14.
