Softball Recap: Coral Springs Takes a Loss

If Coral Springs was feeling good fresh off their 11-0 takedown of Hollywood Hills back in March, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Colts fell just short of the Orange Beach Makos by a score of 2-1 on Thursday.

Coral Springs has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Orange Beach, the victory was the 19th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-1.

Coral Springs will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Fort Lauderdale at 6:30 p.m. on the 14th. As for Orange Beach, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 15-0 win against St. Thomas Aquinas on the 4th.
