Valley had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 43.2 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They took down the Aspermont Hornets 40-26. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 248th, while the Hornets are ranked 746th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
