Softball Game Preview: Rincon/University Rangers vs. Flowing Wells Caballeros

The Rincon/University Rangers will venture away from home to square off against the Flowing Wells Caballeros at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Rincon/University hasn't scored more than a single run for five games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Rincon/University and Sunnyside had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Rangers lost 13-0 to the Blue Devils last Thursday.

Rincon/University saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jianna Cota, who went 1-for-2 with one triple.

Meanwhile, Flowing Wells didn't have quite enough to beat Buena on Thursday and fell 5-4. The Caballeros have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kristen Felix was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Yesenia Solano was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Rincon/University's record now sits at 5-16. As for Flowing Wells, their record is now 14-17.
