Basketball Recap: Howell North Comes Up Short

Howell North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Hazelwood West Wildcats 68-36. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 282nd, while the Wildcats are ranked 92nd).

Howell North's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Hazelwood West, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

After both having extra time off, Howell North and St. Charles will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Hazelwood West, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Hazelwood East at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
