Baseball Recap: Gorham Fayette Eagles vs. Stryker Panthers
Gorham Fayette had lost 12 straight at home dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 1-12 to make it 13. They lost 12-2 to the Stryker Panthers. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 7-2.
Gorham Fayette saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caden Leininger, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Dane Andrews also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
As for Stryker, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-14. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

In other batting news, William Donovan was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Capps, who earned two runs and three stolen bases.
While Gorham Fayette had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
