Soccer Game Preview: North Forsyth vs. Oak Grove

The North Forsyth Vikings will head out on the road to face off against the Oak Grove Grizzlies at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Oak Grove took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on North Forsyth, who comes in off a win.

North Forsyth was handed a five-goal loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Wednesday. They skirted past North Davidson 3-2. Given North Forsyth's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 189th, while North Davidson are ranked 418th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Oak Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 8-3 to Glenn. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Oak Grove were already down 4-1.

They hit Glenn with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from AJ Moreno, Anthony Guzman-Hernandez, and Grayson Messer.

North Forsyth's win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 10-6-1. As for Oak Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 4-16-2.

North Forsyth took their victory against Oak Grove in their previous meeting last Monday by a conclusive 4-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
