Basketball Recap: School Without Walls Takes Down Ranked Woodson

On Friday, School Without Walls faced Woodson in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The School Without Walls Penguins strolled past the Woodson Warriors with points to spare, taking the game 50-33. That's more bragging rights for the Penguins, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

School Without Walls was led to victory by Sophie Whitaker and Adeline King. Whitaker dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten boards, while King posted nine points in addition to eight rebounds and five blocks. King is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Nadia Kallmer, who put up seven points.

School Without Walls has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Woodson, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

School Without Walls wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 54-11 win against Bell on the 22nd. As for Woodson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-19 defeat against Eastern on the 22nd.
