It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Laney had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Leesville Road Pride. The Buccaneers are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 12 straight.

The team relied heavily on Carly Krueger, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Layla Carr, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Laney pushed their record up to 16-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Leesville Road, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-10.

Coming up, Laney will face off against Garner on Friday. The Buccaneers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season. Leesville Road does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
