Soccer Game Preview: Casteel vs. Mountain View

The Casteel Colts will venture away from home to square off against the Mountain View Toros at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Casteel took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Maryvale. Given the Colts' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the Panthers are ranked 80th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Mountain View entered their tilt with Mica Mountain on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Thunderbolts by a score of 4-2. The score was all tied up 2-2 at the break, but the Toros were the better team in the second half.

Mountain View's victory bumped their record up to 7-3-1. As for Casteel, they have also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5-3 record this season.
