Baseball Recap: Gurdon Go-Devils vs. Junction City Dragons
Gurdon had lost 13 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 4-8 to make it 14. They fell just short of the Junction City Dragons by a score of 7-5. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Go-Devils of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.
Remington Ellis and Jonah Jester stepped up to the plate in a big way. Ellis went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run, while Jester went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Those doubles were Jester's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Newton, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

As for Junction City, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 20-11 victory against Fordyce on the 23rd.
