Basketball Recap: Terell James and Cameron Bryant Secure Win for Oviedo

It was a proper cat-fight when Oviedo challenged Westminster on Saturday. The Oviedo Lions rang in the new year with a 63-56 win over the Westminster Wildcats. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

Oviedo was led to victory by Cameron Bryant and Terell James. Bryant dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds, while James posted 17 points and five assists. Bryant is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominic Tejada, who put up six points and four steals.

Oviedo has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.1 points per game. As for Westminster, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4.

Oviedo didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 52-49 loss against The First Academy on the 6th. As for Westminster, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 80-74 defeat against Centennial on the 7th.
