Volleyball Recap: Gainesville Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Gainesville had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Cherokee Bluff Bears by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Gainesville started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 17-25, 25-21, 25-20, 15-10.

Gainesville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Flowery Branch on the 7th. As for Cherokee Bluff, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Forsyth Central on the 7th.
