Football Recap: CREC [Computer Science and Engineering/Academy] Takes a Loss

It was a Battle of the Birds when CREC [Computer Science and Engineering/Academy] challenged North Branford on Friday. The Eagles lost 54-28 to the Thunderbirds. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Thunderbirds from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

North Branford can attribute much of their success to Aj Sigel, who rushed for 81 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries. Nicolas Salvati was in the mix as well, providing the Thunderbirds with one score.

CREC [Computer Science and Engineering/Academy]'s defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for North Branford, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Looking ahead, CREC [Computer Science and Engineering/Academy] will host Weaver at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Beavers have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests. As for North Branford, they will head out to challenge Windsor Locks/Suffield/East Granby at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Thunderbirds will be up against the Raiders' rather soft defense (which has allowed 41.63 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
