It was a good run, but Inlet Grove unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak dating back to last season on Friday. They lost to the Dr. Joaquin Garcia Bulldogs on the road by a 53-35 margin. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Hurricanes came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 124th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 369th).

Having lost for the first time this season, Inlet Grove fell to 7-1. As for Dr. Joaquin Garcia, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Inlet Grove will square off against FAU High at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
