Football Recap: Rylin Viergutz's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lakeview over Sidney + How To Watch

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Lakeview couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 28-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sidney Red Raiders on Friday. The loss was the Vikings' first of the season.

Lakeview lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Rylin Viergutz, who threw for 190 yards and three TDs. Blake Rathbone also helped with two scores in total.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lakeview fell to 11-1. As for Sidney, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.

Lakeview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sidney, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Wahoo at 10:15 a.m. on the 25th. The Red Raiders will need to watch out since the Warriors have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
