Basketball Recap: Trinity Comes Up Short

Trinity lost to Bell back in February of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Trojans took a 50-36 bruising from the Blue Raiders. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 545th, while the Blue Raiders are ranked 184th).

Bell's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Madi Capers, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 11 boards. What's more, Capers posted two blocks, the most she's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Hannah Due, who went 5-for-8 on her way to 13 points and five steals.

Trinity has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 14 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season. As for Bell, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.

Trinity has already played their next matchup (against Keller Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Bell, they have also already played their next contest, a 44-43 win against Timber Creek on the 13th.
