Football Recap: Josey Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Josey lost against Hancock Central back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagles came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 38-13.

Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed seven in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Keith Lyons-Starks, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

XYLER WARTHEN was a one-man wrecking crew For Hancock Central. as he rushed for 60 yards and three TDs, and also threw for 39 yards and one touchdown. NAJEE REYNOLDS helped out on the ground, rushing for 103 yards.

Josey's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Hancock Central, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Josey will host Twiggs County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hancock Central, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Warren County at 7:30 p.m.
