Pewaukee lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Pius XI Catholic, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's match. The Pirates put the hurt on the Popes with a sharp 16-7 win on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won three games by nine runs or more so far this season.

Pewaukee let Gillian Stelse and Taylor Stanek run wild. Stelse scored three runs while going 2-for-4, while Stanek scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Stelse also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Lili Levas was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three RBI.

They weren't the only one making solid contact: Pewaukee kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Pewaukee's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Pius XI Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
