Technology extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 6-8. They lost 13-3 to the Willits Wolverines. The Titans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wolverines earlier this season, when they won 5-4.
Maximus Spolini was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Pablo Kim was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.
As for Willits, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games.
On Willits' side, Corey Rockey made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. Rockey was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Grady Cooley, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ian Hughes, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Technology wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 8-0 win against Calistoga on the 1st. As for Willits, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 14-4 victory against Credo on the 1st.
