Softball Recap: West Jessamine Gets the Win

West Jessamine lost to Madison Southern back in April, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Colts came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 11-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Colts.

West Jessamine let Emerson Collins and Paige Hobgood run wild. Collins went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Hobgood went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. That's the most doubles Hobgood has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Addi Vahle, who went 2-for-4 with three runs.

West Jessamine's victory bumped their record up to 14-9-1. As for Madison Southern, they moved to 11-9 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, West Jessamine will head out on the road to square off against Somerset at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Colts are facing the Briar Jumpers at the right time seeing as the Briar Jumpers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Madison Southern, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Rockcastle County at 6:00 p.m.
