Volleyball Game Preview: Vista del Lago Eagles vs. Rio Americano Raiders + How To Watch

The Vista del Lago Eagles will square off against the Rio Americano Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.

Vista del Lago is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest defeat since August 26th on Thursday. They came up short against Folsom, falling 3-0. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

While Vista del Lago ultimately came up short, they really made Folsom work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-12, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Rio Americano narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Christian Brothers 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Raiders.

Rio Americano was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 22-25, 23-25, 25-20, 15-11.

Vista del Lago's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Rio Americano, their victory bumped their record up to 24-6.

Vista del Lago was able to grind out a solid win over Rio Americano in their previous meeting back in September, winning 3-1. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
