Basketball Recap: Winfield Makes It Four in a Row at Home

Winfield hadn't done well against Buhler recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Winfield Vikings secured a 59-54 W over the Buhler Crusaders. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 54-38 back in January.

Despite the loss, Buhler still got an impressive performance from Mitchel McDaniel, who went 6-for-13 on his way to 14 points. Another player making a difference was Jacob Miller, who posted eight points and eight rebounds.

Winfield's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points over those games. As for Buhler, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

Winfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 64-48 loss against McPherson on the 27th. As for Buhler, they have also already played their next game, a 50-37 defeat against Augusta on the 27th.
