Football Recap: Carbondale Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Carbondale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 35-23 to the Centralia Orphans. The Terriers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Orphans from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Despite the loss, Carbondale still got an impressive performance from Davin Wooley, who rushed for 74 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 100 yards and one TD. Savion Jayden Thomas-Mims helped out on the ground, rushing for 86 yards.

Carbondale's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Centralia, their victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Coming up, Carbondale will venture away from home to take on Granite City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Terriers will be up against the Warriors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 53 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Centralia, they will host Marion at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
