Lamar Consolidated lost against Victoria East back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lamar Consolidated Mustangs were dealt a 56-26 loss at the hands of the Victoria East Titans. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1274th, while the Titans are ranked 513th).

Lamar Consolidated got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Aubrey Edwards and Sanaa Castillow, who each put up seven points. Praisegod Chinweuba held things down on the boards with ten rebounds.

Victoria East's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kamryn Jackson, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 19 boards. What's more, Jackson also racked up three steals, the most she's had since back in December of 2024. Avery Valentine was another key player, going 6 for 15 en route to 17 points.
