After flying high against East Liverpool last Saturday, Carrollton came back down to earth. The Carrollton Warriors took a 45-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tri-Valley Scotties on Monday. The Warriors' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Carrollton's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Tri-Valley, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.

Carrollton and Tri-Valley should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Carrollton (ranked 115th) will meet Marlington (ranked 495th) at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Tri-Valley will take on Ashland at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025 up 129 places (39 vs. 168).
