Preview: Jordan Warriors vs. Cinco Ranch Cougars
The Jordan Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Cinco Ranch Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Jordan will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 677th, while Cinco Ranch is ranked 150th).
Last Friday, things could have been worse for Jordan, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 57-39 loss to Katy. Jordan has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Cinco Ranch on the road against Mayde Creek on Friday as the squad secured a 55-26 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Cinco Ranch.
It was another big night for Aniya Foy, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds. The match was her eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Camille Torrence, who scored 16 points along with 5 assists.
Jordan has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Cinco Ranch, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.
Jordan was taken down by Cinco Ranch 63-34 in their previous meeting back in January. Can Jordan avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
