Volleyball Recap: Derby Comes Up Short

Derby lost against Kapaun Mt. Carmel back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Panthers fell just short of the Crusaders by a score of 2-1.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Derby sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 17-25, 25-19.

Derby now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Kapaun Mt. Carmel, their win bumped their record up to 16-9.

Derby didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Andover Central on the 4th. As for Kapaun Mt. Carmel, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against South on the 4th.
