Softball Recap: Randolph Takes a Loss

Randolph lost to Marion back in March and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Ro-Hawks came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 11-1. The Ro-Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Raelynn Fowler spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and seven unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Randolph saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hadley Megeath, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Randolph's loss dropped their record down to 5-14-1. As for Marion, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-6.

Randolph has already played their next matchup, a 15-0 defeat against Jourdanton on the 14th. As for Marion, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-0 victory against Cole on the 14th.
